WELCOME TO BOCA 99!

The U12 Boca 99 team consists of girls who attend different schools and live in different cities, but have a strong common interest....the love of soccer and a dedication to their team. This team is fun to watch! They practice hard and play hard. With all of their effort comes success. This season they have the following accomplishments:

  • 2011 Spring League Champion
  • 2011 Santa Cruz Breaker’s Cup Finalist
  • 2011 Champion’s Cup Finalist

BOCA 99 IS 2011 PLACER PRESTIGE CUP CHAMPIONS!
Boca gets its revenge on Placer Premier in the Final!

The girls started out the weekend strong with 2-0 victories against San Juan '00 and Central Marin Magic '00.  Sunday morning brought another 2-0 victory against Nevada Elite Football '00.  Boca won its bracket which forced a rematch between Boca and Placer Premier.  In the prior month, the teams had met twice which resulted in a tie and a Placer victory.  The Boca girls played tough in a very warm October afternoon and the phrase 'third time is a charm' rung true as Boca became the Placer Prestige Cup Champion with a 2-1 victory!!

BOCA 99 - WE LOVE SOCCER!

Boca 99 starts the 2011 Fall League with two victories
Boca wins 3-1 against Galt

On September 17, Boca visited Galt for an early evening match up.  Boca got off to a quick lead and never looked back.  They continued their consecutive league victory streak at 9 (seven in the spring, two in the fall).   Boca 99s next league game is October 8.  Keep up the great work!

Boca 99 takes second in Boca Champions Cup tournament

On August 27 and 28, the Boca 99 girls played host to the U12 bracket of the 2011 Champions Cup tournament.  They started off their weekend against the Cal Cougars and had a solid 5-0 victory.  In the afternoon, Boca earned a 6-1 victory against the SSA Flash.

Sunday morning paired Boca against one of their rivals, the Placer Blues.  In the two previous 2011 meetings, the teams had split the games, 1-1.  Boca won the last match up in May 3-0.  The teams know each other well and both teams were pumped up for the match.  The game did not disappoint the fans.  When the final whistle blew, Boca had its third victory of the weekend, 4-2.

The last game of the tournament paired Boca against the Eureka Wildcats in what turned out to be the tournament final.  The Wildcats were not friendly to host Boca and took the win and the trophy 5-4.

Thanks to Coach Melissa for her passion and motivation this weekend and to the Boca 00s who supported the 99s in the final game.  Go Boca!

Boca 99 starts State Cup strong!
Earns a road victory against Woodland

The 2011 State Cup brackets were just posted a few weeks ago and Boca 99 has already earned its first victory.  Boca, ranked #33, went on the road to play #14 Woodland on August 18.   The Boca girls were up for the challenge!  They played strong and earned a 3-1 victory that evening.  Woodland's only goal came on a penalty kick.  Great job Boca!

Boca 99 takes second in Santa Cruz tournament.

During the first weekend of August, Boca 99 traveled south to the beach to play in the Santa Cruz Breakers Cup.  On Saturday, the girls earned two shutout victories against the Crossfire Blue and the Delta Force Black.  Sunday morning, Boca took on the host Breakers in a game which would decide the team moving onto the finals.

The first half was a battle and Boca was down 1-0 at halftime.  In the second half, the girls were focused and earned a well deserved 2-1 victory to win their bracket.  The final against FC Elk Grove was a physical match.  Boca never gave up, but they could not pull off another come from behind win.

A big thank you goes out to the girls for providing the fans with some fantastic soccer, to the Boca 00 girls for supporting the 99s and for Coach Simon for all of his hard work and kind words to the girls this weekend. Thank you all!

Congratulations Boca 99!!
Boca 99 wins U11 Spring League

On Sunday, Boca 99 clinched the U11 Spring League crown with a decisive win over Butte 3-0.  The girls finished with an overall record of 9-0-1 and a goal differential of 25.  This is the team's first season playing 11v11 and have been working on spacing, passing and overall teamwork.  It showed!!  Thanks to Coaches Jeremy, Melissa and Simon for all of their hard work with the team.  We are all looking forward to an exciting fall season!

The Second Time is a Charm
BOCA 99 shuts out the Blues 3-0

Saturday’s rematch between Boca 99 and the Blues was bound to be a battle.  Boca’s only loss this Spring was against the Blues in Lincoln 2-1. Boca was riding a 6 game win streak into the game.  The Blues were 3-1-1 since the last match.

The game did not disappoint the fans.  At halftime, the game was scoreless, although there had been opportunities on both sides of the ball.  In the second half, Boca demonstrated all they had practiced...passing, crossing and heading!!!  Megan started off the scoring with a beautiful free kick which sailed over the heads of the players and into the goal.  Shortly thereafter, Mia accepted a pass from a teammate (Jackie?) and quickly one-touched it past the Blues’ keeper.  Later in the half, Megan took a corner kick which Jackie headed in for a goal.  The Blues were flustered prompting their coach to yell "Don’t freak out!"  When the final whistle blew, Boca had the ’W’ 3-0.

BOCA 99 continues its winning ways

This past week has been very busy for the girls and they have risen to the challenge with a record of 3-0.

On Saturday, May 21, the team travelled west on 1-80 to visit Vacaville.  You may remember the first meeting between these teams in April was very close.  Boca was down 2-0 at the half and rallied back to win 3-2 in the closing seconds of the game.  In the second meeting, Boca played with confidence and earned a 2-0 victory.

The following day, Boca hosted Inter Rage.  At their first meeting, Boca earned a close 2-1 victory. In the latest match, Boca dominated the game.  The score was 4-0 at halftime.  The final score was 5-1.

Finally, in a twilight game on Tuesday, Boca hosted Galt in a make up game from March.  Boca continued its strong play on both sides of the ball and had strong and accurate passing.  Final score: Boca 3, Galt 0.

This Saturday, Boca hosts the Blues at 9:00.  This is certain to be a great game.  In their first meeting in Lincoln, Boca suffered its only loss of the year 2-1.

GO BOCA!!!!!

BOCA 99 HAS A GREAT WIN IN GALT!

Boca 99 traveled south to play against the Galt Aces.  The girls played well on both sides of the ball and earned a 6-0 victory for their third win of the spring season.  Great job Boca!
