Miley Jean Blough (all 8 lbs and 19.5" of her), joined us late last evening. Mom, dad, baby (and grandparents) are all doing great!
More to come soon on the baby front. I think Katie brings Miley home sometime tomorrow.

Antonio Sutton did just about everything in California's 20-10 defeat of Monterrey. The Cougars assistant coach and veteran defender blocked 3 shots on the defensive side, and picked up 3 points on the offensive side. Sutton helped the Cougars extend their lead in the first quarter with an assist midway through the quarter on Naldo's first goal of the game. Sutton then scored on a perfect ball off a restart from team Captain Chris Handsor. He took three shots in the game.
COUGARS Name Veteran Defender Antonio Sutton Player/Assistant Coach for 2007-2008 season
(Stockton Calif. June 11, 2007) – The
California Cougars have announced that veteran defenseman Antonio
Sutton will also serve as assistant coach for the 2007-2008 season.
Sutton has played professional indoor soccer for over eleven years, and
has been with the Cougars since the Team debuted in November of 2005.
From 1997 to 2002 he played locally for the Sacramento Knights, helping
them to a World Indoor Soccer League finals appearance in 1997, and a
championship in 2000. He has been playing in the MISL since joining the
Dallas Sidekicks for the 2002-2003 season, and has also seen time with
the Cleveland Force and Monterrey Fury.
Bolton Named To Super Y League ODP National Staff
Tampa, FL -- Capital Athletic Soccer Academy Girls' Director of Coaching Gabriel Bolton was named to the Super Y League National ODP Staff today by SYL National ODP Coordinator Vinny Bastidas. Bolton will be responsible for overseeing the girls side of the Pacific Northern California Division of Super Y League. The Super Y-League ODP Staff Scout, working under the direction of the Super Y-League ODP system, is responsible for assembling and overseeing the scouting system for elite player identification to aid theidentification of US National Team Programs within a geographic division of the Super Y-League. This is to be accomplished by working in concert with Technical Directors and Coaches of clubs that compete in the Super Y-League within the division.
New U15 Boys Coach Named
Capital Athletic Boys Director of Coaching Brandon Cavitt has selected Cesar Plasencia to be the new head coach of the Under-15 boys Boca Juniors team for the upcoming season. Plasentia is a Sacramento native who graduated from Christian Brothers High School and attended and played soccer at CRC and Sacramento State University. He holds a United States Soccer Federation "A" license. From 1998-2003 he was an assistant coach for the Sacramento State Men's Soccer team. He ahs been a caoch for 23 years and has six years of professional playing experience.
Capital Athletic Announces Full-Time Staff
SACRAMENTO, CA – Capital Athletic Soccer Academy President/CEO Chris Vrame announced today the club has hired five full-time soccer staff members to direct CASA. “I looked at a lot of different clubs and talked to a lot of different people and came to the conclusion that for our club to take the step to the next level, we needed to hire some full-time people to direct the club,” said Vrame. “I believe we have put together a tremendous group of individuals who have a vast amount of soccer experience and that share a similar vision for our club and our youth players.”
Berhane Andeberhan Hired As Technical Director
SACRAMENTO, CA – Capital Athletic Soccer Academy President/CEO Chris Vrame announced today that former United States U-20 Women’s National Team Head Coach Berhane Anderberhan has been hired as full-time Technical Director for the club.“Berhane’s presence in our club immediately vaults our program onto the national soccer scene,” said Vrame. “He is one of the most respected coaches in the country and he has a great vision for our club and youth soccer in the U.S. Berhane has developed some of the best soccer players this country has ever produced. His main priority at CASA will be to oversee the development of all of our players and teams.”
