The U14 Team played at Castro Valley and won all their group games versus CV Explosion, Burlingame Blitz and Dublin Fury to advance to the championship game against the MVLA Thunder.  Boca came-out strong, scoring in the first half but gave up a goal in the aftermath of a direct free kick early in the second half.  As the fog rolled in from the Bay and darkness threatened, the game remained a 1-1 tie after regulation play and two 5 minute overtime periods, forcing the game to be decided by PKs.  The anticipation was felt by the girls, coaches and all the freezing cold fans, who wouldn’t have chosen to be anywhere other than that grandstand at Castro Valley High School.  Unfortunately MVLA prevailed in PKs but the girls played exciting, technically solid, passionate soccer all weekend. 

The team was coached by their original U11 Boca Coach, Melissa Cavitt, assisted by Boca’s technical director coach, Berhane Andeberhan.  “We couldn’t be more proud of these girls”, says Coach Melissa, “they are a special team who strive for excellence on and off the soccer field.”  Good luck to Boca 95 as they continue their play in Norcal State Cup.  Go Boca!!
