ODPTampa, FL -- Capital Athletic Soccer Academy Girls' Director of Coaching Gabriel Bolton was named to the Super Y League National ODP Staff today by SYL National ODP Coordinator Vinny Bastidas. Bolton will be responsible for overseeing the girls side of the Pacific Northern California Division of Super Y League.

The Super Y-League ODP Staff Scout, working under the direction of the Super Y-League ODP system, is responsible for assembling and overseeing the scouting system for elite player identification to aid theidentification of US National Team Programs within a geographic division of the Super Y-League. This is to be accomplished by working in concert with Technical Directors and Coaches of clubs that compete in the Super Y-League within the division.

Player identification is heavily influenced by the quality of the coaches within the scouting system. Therefore, the Super Y-League ODP Staff Coach is responsible for assembling a scouting staff within the division for providing a professionalized scouting system to aid the identification of players for US National Teams to all clubs within the respective Super Y-League division.

In 2002, the Super Y-League, through US Soccer and the United States Olympic Committee, was granted ODP programs to identify players for U.S. National Team Programs. The first selection process began during the 2003 season to identify players for Regional Team selection events, where U.S. National Staff Coaches scoured players for National Team Programs. The Super Y-League North American Finals is another ODP program of the system. The 2005 season was the most successful year for the ODP System. In addition to many players being identified for U.S. National Team Programs, top players were identified from leading college and university soccer programs throughout the United States.
